The restrictions and liberties of neighbourhood

Forgot to buy salt; your computer is broken and you have to look up your emails urgently, twisted your finger and cannot drive to the doctor with the car; need some real conversation or maybe smalltalk and... These are some of the "liberties" of neighbourhood, of the "village" where the villager lives. But you cannot (and must not?) get lost within your local network of friends and buddies. Which is good but results in some restrictions: Like: Better leave the chocolade out of your grocery car or someone will comment that you actually committed yourself to loosing weight...Name me more restrictions and liberties, please!
